Change
Love isn't enough

What happens if you need a rock
But I became sediment in the flowing river?

What happens if you need a plane to stand on
But I carved into a canyon?

What happens if I was a river
But the seasons changed my course?

But what about you?

Who's to say you're not a migrating bird
Leaving Sequoia behind?

What happens if you're a seed
Waiting for the wind to carry you afar?

Love isn't enough

Because I want to be the Sun
Breaking through the morning showers
And the birds chirping you awake

Or this time
The river that changes and opens a path
When you need it most

It's not enough to only love you

Because the person you'll need tomorrow
Might not be the person I am today
